These include:

  • A progressive curriculum that encourages problem solving abilities, testing additional methodologies and ensuring superior outcomes.

  • IEB diplomas are recognised as an internationally benchmarked qualification.
  • The IEB curriculum provides Advanced Programme courses in Mathematics, English and Afrikaans.
  • The IEB is quality assured by Umalusi - the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education.
  • Reddam House matriculants consistently top the charts of academic excellence when IEB results are announced, and our schools are well known and held in high-regard for the delivery of this premium quality education.
  • IEB examinations are widely believed to be more comprehensive and challenging than other approaches, and our teachers provide thorough, in-depth assessment alongside exemplary teaching and learning from the very earliest stages at our school. By developing higher order and critical thinking skills, students at Reddam House Constantia are able to practice the problem solving abilities that will form the foundations for their success both now and in the future.

Learn More About the IEB

Our teachers are IEB experienced examiners, markers, presenters, moderators, and curriculum advisors who perform many roles within the IEB.

The IEB is a variant of the NSC, which is the qualification Gr12 students receive. It supports a greater level of creativity and lateral thinking, which we believe is better suited to preparing our students for university and the world of work.

The IEB can be standardised to local and International systems, ensuring that we can provide our learners with a high quality curriculum designed to meet their needs.

IEB assessments test learners’ understanding not just of what information applies in a certain circumstance, but also of how and why that specific knowledge is used to obtain a desired set of outcomes. This approach requires more than learning material 'off-by-heart' and ensures that students have a level of understanding that allows them to engage with the problem and solve it critically.
