Benefits of the IEB
Local and international universities place a great deal of importance on the final matric exam results when considering acceptance of applicants. Reddam House Constantia is registered with the Independent Examinations Board (IEB), because there are a number of benefits for students at schools registered by the IEB governing body.
These include:
- A progressive curriculum that encourages problem solving abilities, testing additional methodologies and ensuring superior outcomes.
- Exams which produce consistent, reliable National Senior Certificate (NSC) results with an average pass rate of more than 98%, and a pass with entry to degree study of between 85% and 90%.
- IEB diplomas are recognised as an internationally benchmarked qualification.
- The IEB curriculum provides Advanced Programme courses in Mathematics, English and Afrikaans.
- The IEB is quality assured by Umalusi - the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education.
- Reddam House matriculants consistently top the charts of academic excellence when IEB results are announced, and our schools are well known and held in high-regard for the delivery of this premium quality education.
- IEB examinations are widely believed to be more comprehensive and challenging than other approaches, and our teachers provide thorough, in-depth assessment alongside exemplary teaching and learning from the very earliest stages at our school. By developing higher order and critical thinking skills, students at Reddam House Constantia are able to practice the problem solving abilities that will form the foundations for their success both now and in the future.
